The Charren Kitchen
Narragansett, Rhode Island
The Charren family came to us through a referral. They had a coastal Rhode Island kitchen that worked — but only just. They wanted a room that could absorb a Saturday morning with grandkids underfoot, a Wednesday-night dinner for two, and the occasional crowd of fifteen on a holiday, without needing to apologize for any of those moments.
We worked through the layout in our Southington showroom over several visits. We walked the cabinetry options — comparing the heft and detail of three American manufacturers in person, not from a catalog. We selected a stone surface that would still feel right twenty years from now, and a hardware set that would forgive being grabbed with a wet hand.
The result is a kitchen that doesn’t draw attention to itself. It just works.

A Cape Cod kitchen — the fifth project for one family.
We are presently planning kitchens and baths for a returning client — the fifth design project we’ve done with this family. Photos will be added when the project is complete.
